Science fiction is a fantastic genre, probably the most popular form of speculative fiction. It stretches the imagination to what might be possible – or at least somewhat plausible – as scientific knowledge advances. If you have a story that you just can’t wait to share with the world, you might be looking for a professional science fiction book writer.

We love sci fi books as much as you do. Our passionate writers will love your story more than anyone (except for you, of course).

If your story is on waiting until you find the time, we can help.

If your writing skills are not developed far enough to create a truly riveting manuscript, we can help.

Our writers take the time to understand the scientific setting for your novel – the planet, the undersea world, wherever it might be – and the technology that you envisage. They then craft your manuscript to make these places come alive for the reader.

If you are ready to find out how our science fiction writing services can help your story spring to life, just fill in the form on this page now.

And now, a few words from satisfied clients

Are we really the best sci fi writing service? Here are a few authors who think so, offering their unsolicited feedback about our book writing services. (Read more testimonials here.)

Marcia Applegate – author, Now & Then: The Waiting

I feel right now as if my book is already published and you have written the first–and best–review it could have… All I can say is, thank you! for your professional editing and your wonderful words… Again, I couldn’t be more pleased with your work, and your reaction to the novel itself has given me a great deal of inspiration to continue on to publication.

Maya – novelist

Oh wow, I am crying. It is beautiful. And I am not just saying that because it is my book and all. It flows smoothly. I am pleased. I am confident I will land a contract with that. Now I feel confident. I didn’t feel that confidence before with my manuscript. Being a writer, I know that my manuscript didn’t have the smoothness I was aiming for. Thanks so much.

Samuel DiMatteo – children’s book author

The book, ‘The High-Tech Gooseneck Putter,’ is at the publishers. Outskirts Press reviewer wrote that the story was unique and well crafted. He continued, ‘A Fun Read.’ I can’t write enough praises for Kristin Johnson, her being and writing skills. I would make a suggestion and she would put it into words, what I envisioned. Thank you, for your help in making my dream come true. I’m sure that I will be using your services in the future.

John – satisfied author in Switzerland

Thank you so much for this fantastic work. I’m extremely impressed , not only by the top-notch quality of the writing and managing to adapt to the “voice” of the other stories but also your ability to have completed this project in such short time. I love the way you’ve managed to amend and convert these stories to such fascinating and page-turner book. Thanks also for the outstanding query letter and synopsis.

Denise Reccia – self-help author

I am very very happy with the outcome! Debra was fabulous to work with and an amazing person! I highly recommend her for future projects. She will definitely be my choice again.

Authors like you hire sci fi writers for their skill and expertise

You might have already begun writing your sci fi manuscript. There is a point where many budding authors realize that their story is wonderful, but that their writing isn’t as amazing as the story is. That’s where a science fiction ghostwriting service comes to the rescue.

There are some things that a professional fiction writer can help you with. Here are just a few areas of fiction that our ghostwriters work can help you with:

  • Imagery
  • Plot twists
  • Internal struggles
  • Character development
  • More effective use of words
  • Suspense, foreshadowing and anticipation

A skilled, professional ghostwriter can take your science fiction book to the next level.

You might hire a sci fi ghostwriter to get organized.

Not everybody gets as far as a first draft. Sometimes a budding author needs help organizing their manuscript beyond a preliminary outline.

The structure of a novel often helps build suspense and create anticipation. As important as the words are to keep a reader hungry for more, the structure is vital, too. This is as true in science fiction movies as in science fiction books.

An experienced ghostwriter can help you structure your science fiction manuscript. An experienced sci fi screenwriter can help you organize your screenplay.

You might hire a science fiction writer just to save time.

A science fiction ghostwriter service is not just helpful for its expertise. It can also help you get your book or film (finally) written. Your life is busy, and your writing project is might be delayed by so many competing priorities.

We can get started writing your manuscript while you do other things. We can cut a decade down to six months. Before you know it, you become a sci fi author.

Nor is it just the delay that we reduce. Our professional sci fi ghostwriters can write faster than you, simply because that’s what they do for a living. They have the experience. They has the speed. They get the job done.

You might hire a sci fi writer to edit your manuscript.

You might not even need any writing help, but you know that your science fiction manuscript could use some editing. There are imperfections. There is questionable language. There are inconsistencies. We have book editors who can help.

Some of the things we look at are whether the characters are speaking consistently, whether language is used correctly and effectively. And, of course, we proofread for you.

You might hire a sci fi ghostwriter to improve your story.

It might not be just the writing that needs editing. You might have written a great story, but feel it’s missing something. You might even have self-published, and you realize that you want to make it even better for a second edition.

Perhaps it needs another subplot, another layer of the proverbial onion.

Perhaps the villain just isn’t evil enough.

Perhaps the science part of your science fiction doesn’t sound believable enough…or perhaps somebody has actually invented that device you speculate about (when real life surpasses the imagination!).

Whatever improvements you feel your science fiction book needs, a freelance sci fi writer can help.

How to work with a science fiction ghostwriter

Many new authors come to us looking for a science fiction “ghost writer”. Working with a ghostwriter is a collaborative process. Please give precise instructions so that the writer delivers your story exactly how you envisage it. Follow these tips on working with a sci fi ghostwriter to make sure you get the novel you want.

What to tell your Sci Fi ghostwriter

Tap or click to read more on how to work with a sci fi ghostwriter agency.

What is the central storyline?

Plot. That’s what it’s all about. Presumably you have a great idea for a plot or storyline. Your fist job is to communicate that idea to your ghostwriter. You want her to warm to the story and see its potential.

Every story has several sub-plots. There might be a romantic tension building up on the sidelines. One of the characters might be battling with guilt or self-esteem or anger at the world (or at Mars). Make sure to explain the details of each sub-plot, and also how they contribute to the main story.

The main storyline and all sub-plots should be described with:

  • A starting point
  • An end point
  • The path the protagonist takes to get from start to finish
  • Outside forces that throw the protagonist off course
  • Outside forces that propel the protagonist forward
  • Internal struggles that affect the movement from start to finish

Define the science and technology in your book.

What separates science fiction from every other genre is its reliance on possible science and technology breakthroughs. It is important to define the science for your ghostwriter:

  • What the technology does
  • How the technology works
  • The side-effects of the technology – how it changes life, business and politics
  • Maybe even the history of its development

Describe your characters for your ghostwriter.

Despite the geek appeal of all things sciency, your novel will succeed or fail on the characters you create. They need to be strong. They need to be vulnerable. They need to struggle, both with each other and with themselves. They need to grow over the course of the novel.

Just as with any other story, your sci fi ghostwriter needs to know everything about your characters

  • Their fears
  • Their habits
  • Their dreams
  • How they dress
  • How they move
  • What sets them off
  • What they look like
  • What they sound like
  • Their strengths and weaknesses

Most of all, you’ll want to describe the relationship of each character to the main protagonist and the main antagonist, and how those relationships are to evolve through the story.

Your ghostwriter can make all of this up, so don’t worry. But the more information you provide the ghostwriter, the more your characters will be as you envisage them.

Choose the novel’s point of view (POV).

Through whose eyes will the story be seen? Sometimes, it is through the narrator’s eyes. Most of the time, it is through the protagonist’s eyes. However, it can be seen from the point of view of the villain or the hero’s sidekick.

Different parts of the book could be seen through different eyes. You might have two heroes converging on a single point, with alternating chapters following one or the other. Then, when they meet, you have to pick a point of view.

Whatever the point of view, make sure that your ghostwriter knows exactly how you want to manage that.

Make a list of locations in your novel.

Science fiction can take place in the most amazing locations. A bizarrely foreign planet. Unexplored ocean depths. An incredible high-tech lab. A hidden mountain retreat. The possibilities are endless.

Whatever exotic locales you have in mind, make sure your ghostwriter has all the details. She can supplement your information, but anything you have an image of needs to be communicated.

Explain your desired tone to your sci fi writer.

As with most things in life, the future can be rosy or dim, utopian or dystopian. Or it can be a mix of each. It’s up to you to define for your ghostwriter just how you would like the future to be viewed.

Science fiction books and movies usually come in one of two settings – utopian or dystopian. Either science has made things wonderful or it has made things awful. Often, it’s a mixture of the two

Do you want your story to be light and fun, or dark and foreboding? Make sure your writer knows the tone you want to set.

What’s the moral of your story?

It’s not just fables and nursery rhymes that offer morals to their readers. Every story has a message. Your science fiction novel will have a message; it will impact people’s lives. You might as well decide what the message will be.

And you might as well tell your ghostwriter what message you want to send.
